My approach to therapy is grounded in human development and social context. We are shaped by the relationships and environments we experience, beginning with our earliest attachments. These experiences influence how we manage emotions and respond to stress. Our brains and nervous systems also continue to change through new experiences and relationships, which means that patterns learned in the past do not have to define us forever. I recognize that well-being is impacted by family, community, culture, identity, and experiences of belonging or exclusion.

I believe in an egalitarian therapy relationship. My work is guided by values of nonviolence, compassion, and social justice. I believe that people heal through authentic connection, with themselves, with others, and with the parts of themselves they may have learned to ignore or judge.

I see therapy as a creative and collaborative process, building something new with each client that reflects their unique personality, experiences, needs, and ways of making meaning. I bring a spirit of curiosity into my work rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

Outside of work, I’m a mother, partner, daughter, and writer. I enjoy gardening, cooking, baseball, music, and art. I love reading and writing novels, poetry, and short stories. I sincerely believe that the inner healing we do as individuals ripples outward and positively impacts our communities and our world.
